CEPTC Information
MAINTAINING YOUR CERTIFICATION
NATCO offers members many opportunities to meet the requirements for maintaining certification by offering several options to obtain CEPTC credits.
To maintain the CCTC™/CPTC®/CCTN®/CTP® status you must accumulate 60 Continuing Education Points for Transplant Coordinators (CEPTCs) within the three-year period prior to the recertification submission deadline date, which is December 31.
A minimum of 20 CEPTCs submitted in Category 1 must be earned by attending a program approved by ABTC®, test question writing approved by ABTC®, based on the cognitive level of the question, can earn 1 to 5 CEPTCs, completion of CEPTC offerings in the Progress in Transplantation journal, and/or ABTC® committee membership.
Coordinators who are dually certified must accumulate 90 Continuing Education Points for Transplant Coordinators (CEPTCs) within the three-year period prior to the recertification submission deadline date, which is December 31. A minimum of 20 CEPTCs submitted in Category 1 must be earned by attending a program approved by ABTC®, test question writing approved by ABTC®, completion of CEPTC offerings in the Progress in Transplantation journal, and/or ABTC® committee membership. Dually certified coordinators expiration dates will be synchronized at the implementation of the new online recertification process.
